Is your sexual preference different from what people expect from you? And is it absolutely impossible to discuss this with your parents, family or friends? Does your cultural background or that of your parents or relatives also play a role? Then you can feel damn lonely…or frightened…

What to do??
Tell them?
Or rather not?
Have no relationship at all?
Or…have one secretly?!

You can turn to Veilige Haven Oost (Safe Haven East) if you need someone to listen to your story, give you advice, or if you just want to talk to people who understand your situation. But we also provide practical help in case you cannot live at home anymore and even if you're not safe anymore. You don't need to tell us who you are. And no one will know you are in touch with us.
